Yo Frankie is a free 3D game, where you will control Frank, the sugar glider.
He is the antagonist of the film Big Buck Bunny, produced by the Blender Institute in 2008. This institute promotes the developing of games using free tools, like the Blender Engine that they developed.
In this game, you will have to help Frank to move through a 3D scenario, catching food and avoiding the many enemies he will find while walking around. Frank the squirrel can run, glide through the air, attack, collect bonus and nuts, to throw them to his opponents (rats and sheep). The players can choose which level they want to play, there is no level progression.
While exploring the environment, the players will have to solve small puzzles in order to be able to jump on platforms, by moving a spring or performing a combination of double jumping and gliding to reach far away areas. Frank can die, and if he dies three times, the game is over.
Yo Frankie! can run on any platform capable of running the Blender Game Engine, including GNU/Linux, Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows.
